The camera really doesn't do the flowers justice; it's impossible to capture the amazing colours accurately. Those pale blue stems in this last photo are a beautiful lavender blue colour which I look forward to every year.
Both this plant and its neighbour, the rose red flowers on long stems, were alive with bees while I was taking the photos - very carefully!
Your garden is far more colourful than mine at the moment - I love your Russian sage, it just won't grow for me.
ReplyDeleteOh I didn't know what it was called; now I've Googled Russian Sage and found that it is my lovely lavender shrub - thank you, Elaine.
ReplyDeleteI wonder why it won't grow in Leicestershire soil.
Dear Rambler, I loved seeing all these flowers! Many of your photographs remind me of flowers and leaves I saw over in Central Park this morning. Eventually, I will do a post with the photographs I took...but I truly think that your pictures are much better than mine. xo
ReplyDeleteThank you, Frances, for your comments - it's good to hear that somebody likes to see the flowers. I suspect that your photos will be excellent ones and will include more trees as well as flowers, because it is such a big area. My garden isn't big enough to have trees.
