Pretty Christmas Baubles

After the somewhat grey day in Altarnun, I thought a bit of colour might not go amiss.
Excuse the early Christmas tree - I only set it up to display these lovely baubles made by a friend.
They arrived (from the Isle of Man) beautifully packaged in gold and purple bags:

The artificial tree is now back in its box and hidden away in a bedroom cupboard, but it was lovely to have a bit of colour and pretty lights last night.  Now I'm eager to bring in my real, living Christmas tree from the garden and get it trimmed with my new purchases - come on, Christmas!

  1. 'Made by a friend', that is so clever. She must have immense patience to work with the beading etc. They are lovely.

  2. Yes, it must be very fiddly, working with tiny beads like that. She also makes jewellery, including unusual 'sleeves', ornamental sleeves which go from wrist to elbow - very popular with youngsters, I'm told. I'm really chuffed with my new baubles, though.

  4. They are beautiful, I agree. When I saw some examples of what she'd made, I couldn't resist treating myself to a few.
How are things for you now? I hope you and your husband are in a better place than when you last posted on your blog. (((((HUG))))) xx

    2. So pleased for you that your hubby found work again and that things are looking up now. Yes, Cornwall is beautiful, magical, mystical - and I love it.

    1. I agree! Now that I've had to put the twinkly tree and baubles away, I think I need something to replace them, so I'm going to dig out a few lights that are twinkly but not necessarily Christmassy. Anything to dispel the greyness!
